Beyond exists to write words that feel like yours. That takes a little bit of your data, and here is exactly what we do with it, in plain words.

What we collect

• Your first name, if you choose to share it.
• Your onboarding answers: goals, current season of life, tone, pronouns, spirituality preference, intensity, and daily rhythm.
• The affirmations written for you, the ones you write yourself, and your swipes (loved, saved, passed).
• Purchase status, so we can unlock your subscription.
• With your explicit permission only, your device advertising identifier (see Advertising below).

Your account is anonymous by default. No email address, no password, no phone number.

How we use it

Your answers guide how your affirmations are written and which ones we show you. Your swipes teach your feed what resonates. That is the whole point of the app, and it is the only reason this data exists.

How your affirmations are written

Your affirmations are written by a large language model operated by Anthropic, our writing provider. To write them, our server shares with Anthropic only what the words are made of: your first name if you chose to give it, and your onboarding answers. Anthropic processes this data solely to write your affirmations and does not use it to train its models. Your swipes, your purchase status, and your account identifier never leave our servers.

Where it lives

Your data is stored securely with our database provider, Supabase, on servers protected by industry standard encryption. Purchases are processed by Apple, and subscription status is managed by RevenueCat. We never sell your data, to anyone, for any reason.

Affirmations shared with others

Some affirmations that contain no name and no personal detail may be offered to other people whose preferences match. They are never traceable to you.

Advertising

If, and only if, you allow tracking in the iOS permission prompt, we use your device advertising identifier to measure how well our ads perform on platforms like TikTok. This helps us know which ads brought people to Beyond. Saying no changes absolutely nothing about your experience. You can change your choice anytime in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not read your data for anything other than making the app work.
• We do not send you emails, because we do not have your email.

Your rights

You can delete all of your data at any time: open Settings in the app and tap "Delete my data". Your affirmations, preferences, and profile are removed from our servers immediately. If you prefer, email us and we will do it for you. Depending on where you live (including California and the European Union), you may also have rights to access or correct your data. Email us and we will help.

Children

Beyond is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update this page and the date above.
